Fahrenheit to Celsius Formula

To convert Fahrenheit to Celsius, you subtract 32 from the Fahrenheit temperature, and then multiply the result by 5/9 (or roughly 0.5556).

°C = (°F - 32) × 5/9

Conversely, to calculate Fahrenheit from Celsius, multiply the Celsius temperature by 9/5 (or 1.8), and then add 32.

°F = (°C × 1.8) + 32

Example

If the weather forecast says it is 77°F:

(77 - 32) × 5/9 = 45 × 5/9 = 25°C

Therefore, 77°F is exactly 25°C.
